The interview includes both parents and teens unless there is sensitive information that you would like to share out of the presence of your teen in which case, we will start the interview with the parent only and invite the teen to join shortly afterward. You will receive your diagnostic report by email with my findings and treatment recommendations within 2 weeks of our appointment which you may use to request a medication trial with your primary care provider and/or classroom accommodations from your teens school to support your teen’s success. This can include extra time and a quiet space for standardized tests like the ACT or SAT.

Virtual ADHD evaluation session (60–90 mins)
The bulk of the time is conversational: we speak with both you and your teen, exploring their history, challenges, environment, and goals. Some direct observation may be included via structured activities or conversational prompts.
Diagnostic decision & report
Based on DSM-5 criteria, cross-setting symptom presence, coexisting conditions, and functional impairment, we determine whether ADHD is the correct diagnosis. You receive a full written report within ~10–14 days.

Feedback & next-step consultation
A free follow-up consultation is included to go over the results, discuss treatment options (behavioural therapy, coaching, medication), and plan next steps via our ADHD online portal
