Online ADHD testing for New York children, teens and adults

ADHD IQ provides online ADHD evaluations for children, teens, college students and adults across New York State. You meet by secure video with Pamela Moss-Samuelson, LISW-S, who is licensed in New York. You come away with a clear answer and a written report you can share with your school, college, employer or prescriber, without months on a waitlist.

Who we test in New York

We evaluate people at every stage of life. Each age group has its own page with more detail:

  • Children (ages 4 to 12): we work with parents and teachers to understand behavior at home and at school.
  • Teens: we look at focus, organization and mood, and how they affect grades and friendships.
  • College and graduate students: we provide documentation you can take to your campus disability or accessibility office.
  • Adults: many adults were never tested as children. We look at how ADHD affects work, relationships and daily life today.

How online ADHD testing works

  1. Request an appointment. Book through our secure client portal. You will receive intake forms right away.
  2. Rating scales and history. You complete validated ADHD rating scales and background forms online. For children and teens, parents and teachers fill in scales too.
  3. Diagnostic interview (60 to 90 minutes). A secure video session with Pamela Moss-Samuelson, LISW-S, covering your history, symptoms and how they affect daily life.
  4. Written report. Within about two weeks you receive a full diagnostic report with findings and recommendations.
  5. Feedback session. A free follow-up appointment to go through the report, answer your questions and plan next steps.

Frequently asked questions

Is online ADHD testing as valid as in-person testing?
Yes. A thorough ADHD evaluation is based on validated rating scales, a structured clinical interview and information from more than one setting. All of these work well by secure video.

How long does the whole process take?
Most people go from booking to a finished report in two to four weeks. The interview itself takes 60 to 90 minutes.

Do you prescribe ADHD medication?
No. We diagnose and provide therapy and coaching. If medication may help, your report gives your primary care provider or psychiatrist what they need to consider a medication trial.

Can the report be used for school, college or workplace accommodations?
Yes. The written report is detailed and is often used to request a 504 plan or IEP, college accommodations, or workplace adjustments.

Will a New York school or college accept the report?
The report follows the documentation that schools and colleges usually ask for, and families often use it when requesting a 504 plan or IEP through their district’s Committee on Special Education, or college accommodations. Each school makes its own decision.

Do I need to live in New York?
You need to be physically in New York, Ohio or Connecticut at the time of your appointment.
