Waitlists for ADHD testing in Connecticut can run for months. Because every evaluation is done by video, people anywhere in the state can usually be seen within weeks, with no drive to an office.
New Haven, Stamford, Hartford, Bridgeport, Norwalk, Danbury, Waterbury, Greenwich, West Hartford, Middletown, New London and the rest of Connecticut.
Is online ADHD testing as valid as in-person testing?
Yes. A thorough ADHD evaluation is based on validated rating scales, a structured clinical interview and information from more than one setting. All of these work well by secure video.
How long does the whole process take?
Most people go from booking to a finished report in two to four weeks. The interview itself takes 60 to 90 minutes.
Do you prescribe ADHD medication?
No. We diagnose and provide therapy and coaching. If medication may help, your report gives your primary care provider or psychiatrist what they need to consider a medication trial.
Can the report be used for school, college or workplace accommodations?
Yes. The written report is detailed and is often used to request a 504 plan or IEP, college accommodations, or workplace adjustments.
Will a Connecticut school or college accept the report?
The report follows the documentation that schools and colleges usually ask for, and families often bring it to their district’s Planning and Placement Team (PPT) when requesting a 504 plan or IEP, or to a college accessibility office. Each school makes its own decision.
Do I need to live in Connecticut?
You need to be physically in Connecticut, Ohio or New York at the time of your appointment.
If you have been wondering whether ADHD explains your focus, organization or restlessness, or your child’s, a clear answer is the first step. Request an appointment or call 516.407.9795.
